Downtown Tulsa comprises approximately 900 acres, or 1.4 square miles. Downtown Tulsa features many wonderful restaurants, arts and entertainment venues, residential properties, and the multi-purpose 18,500-seat arena, the BOK Center, which will open September 2008. Along with the BOK Center opening, the Tulsa Convention Center is under construction and will reveal its new look in early 2009. Eight of Tulsa's oldest churches are located downtown, including Boston Avenue Methodist Church designed by world-renowned architect Bruce Goff. Downtown Tulsa is also home to one of the largest concentrations of Art Deco architecture in the country.
