Fort Worth - Labor Force Preparedness |

Since the first DFW Regional Workforce Summit in 2001, progress has been made toward defining and developing Regional Industry Clusters. These are business-driven working groups composed of key industry leaders to ensure a qualified future workforce to meet projected industry demands in the following key regional market sectors: Aerospace, Semiconductor, Health Care, and Logistics. These four industry clusters have staff persons ("Cluster Managers") assigned to the effort. Reports on progress and best practices are shared across the region through the Regional Workforce Leadership Council, a planning group established in 2001 following the Regional Workforce Development Summit, whose practices are documented through a formal memorandum of understanding. Other clusters (tourism, education, financial services and others) are being considered or are under development.
