Fort Worth - Youth Print E-mail

Fort Worth is home to a number of assistance programs for youth at risk, including:

Success High School
Success Evening Alternative High School is a school of choice for students in at-risk situations. The student body consists of sixteen- to twenty-one-year-old students from all areas of the Fort Worth school district. Many are parents or are currently pregnant. Most work during the day and/or on weekends. GED classes, independent study and tuition classes are also offered at Success.

Parks and Community Services Department
The City of Fort Worth's Parks and Community Services Department, in conjunction with the Youth Sports Council of Fort Worth, provides year round sport leagues to Fort Worth resident children from ages 5 to 17 years. The program is dedicated to assisting the development of youth sports programs aimed at assisting high-risk youth of Fort Worth. It seeks to involve children in recreational sport activities in order to promote sportsmanship, fair play and to educate participants on the importance of involving themselves in positive and healthy physical activity.
