The Riverside Cops and Clergy Network
This program brings together spiritual leaders and civil authorities for the common good and safety of children, congregations and communities. The Cops and Clergy Network encourages collaboration with law enforcement, clergy, service organizations, and the community to reduce conditions that put youth at risk and strengthen factors that build resilience. In 2003, the Riverside Cops and Clergy Network received the "Community Partnership of the year" award from the State of California Attorney General's office for its involvement with the community.

Project BRIDGE
Building Resources for the Intervention and Deterrence of Gang Engagement (BRIDGE) was established in 1995 through a grant from the Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Program Prevention, and is one of two sites in the nation which implements a model design for gang prevention, intervention, and suppression. The Riverside Police Department took over as lead agency in 1998 from the University of California at Riverside Office of Education and Community Initiatives. The goal of Project BRIDGE is to mobilize the community's multidisciplinary leadership to reduce the incidence of youth gang violence, gang membership and gang related activities in the city of Riverside.
