Using a Community Development Block Grant (CBDG) and a HUD Hope VI grant, the city transformed an obsolete Jordan Park public housing site into a family friendly tree-lined residential neighborhood. Since 2001, city programs helped 621 low to moderate income families became homeowners as the city leveraged $9 million into $23 million in additional funding for strategies that include Purchase Assistance, Rehabilitation and Developer Loans.
