The University of Washington Tacoma is the education leader in the Tacoma-Puget Sound area. UWT is a four-year university offering a variety of program choices for the residents of Puget Sound including Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences, business, and environmental science. Tacoma is home to a number of other private and public universities and colleges, including: University of Puget Sound, Pacific Lutheran University, Clover Park Technical College, L.H. Bates Technical College, Pierce College, Tacoma Community College, and Evergreen State College – Tacoma.
