Tanglewood Festival of Lights
Each November, Tanglewood Park transforms its rolling countryside into a winter wonderland of giant snowflakes and whimsical scenes. After eleven seasons, the Tanglewood Festival of Lights continues to be one of the largest and most spectacular light shows in the Southeast. Nearly a million lights and 70 displays fill Tanglewood Park with the splendor and joy of the holiday season.

RiverRun International Film Festival
The annual festival showcases more than 100 films from 22 different countries including New Zealand, India, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Thailand, Iceland, Romania, the Netherlands, and South Korea. It also has an especially strong showing of some of the very best short films being produced in the world today. The festival also hosts panels and workshops where participants can learn about the complexities of both independent and Hollywood filmmaking.

North Carolina Chili Championship and Rubber Duck Regatta
Nearly 100 cooking teams compete in the largest chili event in the state. In the Rubber Duck Regatta, thousands of rubber ducks race down the Yadkin River for valuable prizes.

North Carolina Wine Festival
The North Carolina Wine Festival is designed to celebrate the good life in North Carolina and salute the area's growing wine industry. It's an action-packed, fun-filled day revolving around tasting some of the finest wines in America today.
