Salem Lake
Salem Lake is the recreational haven in Winston-Salem. This 365-acre lake offers pier and boat fishing for more than seven fish types, as well as picnicking, hiking, sailing, jogging and bike riding opportunities. Looking for a little more exercise, then take one of the greenways to this serene spot.
C. G. Hill Memorial Park
A fishing lake surrounded by an asphalt walkway and benches for fishing are just some of the features of this park that also offers picnic tables with grills and a gazebo with a courtyard.
Tanglewood Park
Just outside Winston-Salem, a great variety of recreational activities are available at this beautiful 1,300 countryside park where visitors can enjoy hiking, walking and running trails, picnic areas, playgrounds, canoeing and paddleboating, exquisite gardens, tennis on both hard and clay courts, and two of Golf Digest's top rated golf courses. During the summer months the park hosts a series of symphony concerts.
