The Northwest Piedmont Workforce Development Board provides oversight to Winston-Salem's JobLink Career Center. The JobLink Career Center is a user-friendly facility that provides job seekers and employers a single place to address their employment and training needs. Workforce development professionals from various partner agencies work together to provide the best service for all customers.

JobLink Career Center offers labor market information, provides access to career training and job placement services, and serves as the connection between employers and qualified workers. Employment and training activities are provided to jobseekers by Northwest Piedmont Workforce Development Programs through local JobLink Career Center offices. Services include assessment, basic education, employment training, job placement, on-the-job training, and employment counseling for eligible unemployed, underemployed, dislocated workers and persons with criminal histories. Financial assistance is also available to eligible participants for education expenses at the community and technical college level.
