Consistently ranked as a leader in business and economic development by state and national publications, Riverside continues to match its own success. The city with the support of business and community institutions strive to create a business climate that is both attractive and progressive. With the support of the Riverside County Economic Development Agency, and the University of California, Riverside (UCR), the city has built the ultimate location for business development and technological innovation - University Research Park.

The 56-acre Park was designed with facilities for product development, research and engineering and attracts companies in biotechnology, information technology, nano-sciences, genomics, electronics, and environmental technology. The Park serves as a network and incubator for new companies looking to grow by linking to existing companies in the region and maximizing their competitive resources within the entire Inland Empire, including the prestigious academic and research programs at UCR and nearby Loma Linda University.

With Management support from the Small Business Development Center, Regional Technology Alliance (now known as iEtechsource), and A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management, the incubator called Technology Transfer Center (TTC) will help prepare entrepreneurial companies for the commercial transfer of research into business ventures. The facility will provide communication services, office support, access to UCR, and other operational support programs and needs.

Additionally the Park will provide small and expanding technology-based companies with the infrastructure necessary to succeed through its 48 strand, looped fiber optic backbone and up to 55% savings on municipal utilities rates.
